Used to be in a group with this whack ass dude. It wasn't always whack but it got real whack as time went on and real friendship tings came on the line and he failed miserably. Either way, in junior high school before i met him I heard this beat he made that was fire. It was like the illest beat ever to me and the sample was from "The Shining" OST. I think he lost the beat but that sample has stuck with me my whole life and as I grew older and got better as a producer I always wanted to flip it my way. I tracked down the sample and finally got to do my thing with it. RIP to that friendship but shout to all the good things that came out of it including this shining beat EP
